Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience. You get to know some of the most amazing people who live in the community, and who also volunteer. It is often a lot of fun. Just as an example, the LBC weekend workgroup, the weekend warriors, have a lot of fun in the spring and summer getting together to dig up a bush, plant a tree, fix the irrigation system, or skirting (whatever that is). They have a lot of laughs together.
If you felt like volunteering, your contribution would be welcome, no matter what your skills or your physical condition. Not all of us can go dig in the dirt, or shovel snow, but as long as you have a brain we can use your help.
Some of our groups can always use another hand. Some, like the ARC and the board have a specific number, and -- for the board especially -- we have elections every year at the annual meeting; so you can volunteer to become a member but we can't guarantee you will get elected in November.
