There is a separate LBC Workgroup that pitches in to actually work on the landscape. 

The LBC Workgroup has a relatively larger number of members, part of the Volunteer Corps. 

On any given weekend some subset who are available may pitch in on a weekend project: removing a dead or dying bush, planting a tree, working on the recalcitrant irrigation system, skirting a fir tree. 

The projects vary. Not everyone is available every weekend. They only work when the weather is cooperative. And they have a lot of laughs doing it.
