The Board of Directors is established by the Covenants. The composition, terms,  officers, and election procedures are described in the Bylaws. 

Currently the Board consists of 5 directors, each serving a 2 year term. 2 directors are elected in even years, and 3 in odd years. The list of current directors can be found on the Current Directors and Officers List. 

Elections take place at the Annual Members' Meeting in November. You can throw your hat in the ring by filling out a the volunteer form and indicating that you are interested to serve on the board. If there are more candidates than openings, a contested secret ballot election takes place. 

We won't deceive you: being on the board takes a fair amount of time and dedication, and its only reward is personal satisfaction. Usually we don't recommend it for people who still have a full time job.
